The public list
New York State posts every licensed and registered program at hs.ocfs.ny.gov/dcfs. You can search by name, address, or license number. You do not need an account.
Two Country Club examples: My Piccolo Mondo Inc. is license 236999. Maria Boiano’s program is 821324. Open the profile. Check the status is License, not expired, and read any inspection notes.
What “group family day care” means
It is a licensed home, not a large institutional center. Capacity is capped — often up to 16 children with enough caregivers. That is a common shape of care in the East Bronx houses this guide writes about.
If the listing and the person you meet do not match — different address, different name — stop and ask. The license is tied to a site.
Questions about the Ohm Avenue homes? My Piccolo Mondo is (914) 755-2107. Maria’s house is (347) 601-6548.
