Welcome to the My Piccolo Mondo Childcare Handbook! We're excited to have your child join our community. Here are some important points to keep in mind: . Hours of Operation: We're open Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. We'll work with you to determine the hours of care that best suit your child's needs. Please note that we're closed on Saturdays and Sundays, as well as on holidays like New Year's Day, Independence Day, and Thanksgiving. We understand that finding alternate care on these days can be a challenge, so please be sure to have a backup plan in place. Provider Vacation: We all need a break from time to time, and that includes our providers! Each year, we'll be closed for 2 weeks so our providers can take a well-deserved vacation. We'll give you as much advance notice as possible (at least 2 weeks) so you can make alternate arrangements. " Matters of Money: We understand that paying for childcare can be stressful, so we want to make the payment process as clear and easy as possible. Payment is due by 7:00 AM on Friday prior to childcare services being provided. If payment is not received by 6:00 PM on Friday, a late fee of $10.00 per day will be assessed. If payment is not made within 5 days, your child will not be able to attend care until payment (including all late fees) is received. If payment is not received for a period of 1 week, we'll need to terminate the contract, fill the position, and begin the collection process. Please note that fees may be paid by cash or check, and bounced checks will be subject to a $25.00 bank fee and late payment fees. " Communications: At My Piccolo Mondo Childcare, we value open communication and encourage you to share any questions or concerns that you may have. We welcome feedback and discussions that are oriented towards a positive outcome for your child. If you have any sensitive issues to discuss, we're happy to schedule a time to meet outside of regular childcare hours. " Drop Off/Pick Up: We know that drop off and pick up times can be hectic, so we've got a few guidelines to help things go smoothly. Please turn off your car and walk your child to the door - we want to make sure everyone stays safe! Your child must exit my home with you. Please don't let your child play near the vehicles at any time. We assume responsibility for your child only while they are in our care, so please make sure to provide written permission for anyone other than the parent to pick up the child. If we're not familiar with the person picking up your child, we'll ask for proof of identification. Finally, we understand that drop off and pick up can be emotional times for children - we'll do our best to make the transition as smooth as possible. If your child is feeling upset, we recommend a brief goodbye and a clear explanation of when you'll be back. We hope this handbook has been helpful for you!
